Frequently asked questions

Everything patient-experience and facility teams ask about custom comfort blankets, washability, minimums, and the program.

What is a patient comfort blanket?

A patient comfort blanket is a plush, washable blanket a healthcare facility provides to patients during treatment, a stay, or at discharge. Ours are made from NubaySoft ultra-soft plush, printed with your facility's branding or a comforting design, and built to survive constant laundering. They are used in infusion centers, hospice, long-term care, pediatric units, and waiting rooms.

Are the blankets machine washable?

Yes. Machine wash cold. NubaySoft plush does not shed, pill, or lose its softness through repeated washing, which is what makes it practical for clinical settings where comfort items go through the laundry rotation constantly.

What is the minimum order for a facility?

Wholesale orders start at 72 blankets. Per-unit pricing improves as quantity grows, so larger systems ordering across multiple units or campuses get the best rates.

How much do patient comfort blankets cost?

Facility programs land in a broad $30 to $90 all-in per blanket range depending on the tier and quantity. The value tier, Lite Plus, runs as low as $30.98 per blanket at 500+ pieces. Request a quote and we will price your exact quantity and tier within 1 business day.

How long does production take?

Plan for 4 to 8 weeks of production depending on tier, plus 48 hours for your first free design mockup and however long your approval takes. If you are planning around an event like Nurses Week or a facility opening, start early and work backward from the date.

Can the blankets carry our facility's branding?

Yes, that is the core of the program. Your logo, brand colors, and any message are printed photo-realistically across a 60x80 inch plush canvas. Our in-house design team creates the artwork from whatever files you have; low-resolution logos can usually be recreated at no charge.

What is NubaySoft material?

NubaySoft is a proprietary ultra-soft plush fabric developed and manufactured exclusively by Spectator Sport. It is dense, colorfast, and holds its hand-feel through years of use and washing, which is why patients keep these blankets rather than discard them.

Which care settings use these blankets?

Infusion and oncology centers, hospice and palliative care, long-term care and memory care, pediatric units, surgical and ER waiting rooms, and family lounges. Facilities also use the same branded blankets for staff recognition, donor gifts, and gift shop resale.

Do patients get to keep the blankets?

That is up to your program. Many facilities run both models at once: a washed-and-reused pool for waiting areas, and give-home blankets for infusion patients, hospice families, and pediatric discharge. Because the blankets are durable and machine washable, both models work.

We are a dental practice. Is this the right site?

We run a dedicated program for dental practices at DentalBlanket.com, covering chair-side comfort and practice-branded patient gifts. PatientBlanket.com focuses on the broader healthcare world: hospitals, infusion centers, hospice, long-term care, and waiting rooms.

Do you ship to all 50 states?

Yes. We ship to facilities in all 50 states, to a single building or split across multiple campuses. Your approved design stays on file, so reorders are a one-email process.
